Alexander Groes is an Associate in Quinn Emanuel’s London Office. He joined the firm in 2021. His practice focuses on complex commercial and competition litigation.

In his competition litigation practice, Alexander advises Claimants and Defendants on cartel and  abuse of dominance cases, acting in some of the largest competition law disputes that have come before the English Courts and the Competition Appeal Tribunal. Presently, he acts in proceedings on behalf of a Proposed Class Representative seeking to bring collective proceedings on behalf of UK consumers against Meta Platforms, Inc. He also advises in ongoing proceedings against a number of large banks concerning the manipulation of LIBOR during the global financial crisis. Previously, he worked on two sets of proceedings relating to the manipulation of foreign-exchange rates in both the English High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal.

In addition to competition work, Alexander acts currently in IP proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court and high value fraud proceedings in the Commercial Court. He has also previously worked on commercial judicial review proceedings in the Administrative Court.
