Rex Alley is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Los Angeles office. He rejoined the firm in 2024 after serving as a summer associate in 2021. Prior to rejoining the firm, Rex worked as a law clerk to Judge John Z. Lee of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and, after Judge Lee’s elevation, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He also worked as a law clerk to Judge Daniel P. Collins of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Rex attended Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he served as an Executive Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and worked as a clinical student at Northwestern’s Center on Wrongful Convictions. He also served as a judicial extern to Judge Lee in summer 2020.
