Ryan Andrews is Of Counsel in the firm’s Antitrust Investigations Practice and the firm’s Antitrust Defense Practice. He is a trial lawyer who focuses on government antitrust investigations and antitrust litigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Ryan was an attorney in the Mergers IV Division of the Bureau of Competition at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. There, he served as trial counsel in FTC v. Jefferson University, performing trial examinations of both expert and fact witnesses, conducting extensive fact and expert discovery, and successfully preparing and arguing discovery motions. Ryan also held senior investigatory roles in numerous merger investigations spanning the healthcare, foodservice distribution, and retail industries. He was the lead attorney for two full-phase antitrust investigations, where he managed teams of attorneys and experts performing complex investigation into potentially anticompetitive mergers.

Before joining the FTC, Ryan was a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he focused on antitrust litigation and trial.
