Dr. Johannes Blöcher is German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt) and associate in the Berlin office of Quinn Emanuel, where he has been working since 2024. His practice focuses on patent and commercial litigation. He represents national and international clients before the Unified Patent Court and German courts, in opposition proceedings at the EPO and in nullity actions before the German Patent Court.
Before joining Quinn Emanuel, Dr. Blöcher received his PhD as a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. Stefan Grundmann, LL.M. (Berkeley) at the Chair of Civil Law, German, European and International Private and Commercial Law at Humboldt University Berlin. In an interdisciplinary approach with a focus on computer science, he dealt with the question of how increasingly complex information technologies can be effectively regulated in the future.
