Iyah Chen is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s New York office. Her practice focuses primarily on complex patent litigation with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and biotechnology products. Iyah’s experience also includes conducting diligences regarding the validity of patents and the freedom-to-operate new technologies. Prior to her legal career, Iyah worked at a healthcare consulting firm and at Johns Hopkins Hospital in clinical research.
Iyah received her J.D. from University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy. She graduated in 2016 from Johns Hopkins University with her M.S. in Biotechnology and earned a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from University of California Davis in 2011.
