Yao Dong is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s London office. She joined the firm in 2024.
Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Yao practiced commercial litigation at one of New Zealand’s leading full-service law firms, where she acted for a wide range of clients including large public and private companies in disputes and regulatory investigations under consumer, intellectual property, media, privacy, competition and anti-money laundering law. Yao has appeared as junior, senior and sole counsel in the Court of Appeal, High Court and District Court of New Zealand.
Yao graduated from the University of Auckland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2020. She has tutored the core contract law course at the University of Auckland.
