Dr. Laurin Haasis is a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt) and Associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Stuttgart office. He joined the firm in 2021.
Laurin has extensive expertise in advising on a wide range of aspects of complex (civil) disputes. In addition to patent disputes in a wide range of technologies, his experience includes advising on corporate law, enforcement issues (both domestic and international) and criminal law.
Laurin handles complex litigation matters for clients in various industries and fields, including automotive, streaming and medical engineering. He has represented national and international clients before the German courts at trial and appellate level as well as before the German Federal Court of Justice (BGH) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). Laurin advises OEMs on technical and regulatory defence in the field of vehicle emissions and regularly represents a major OEM before German Higher Regional Courts.
Laurin graduated from the University of Konstanz in 2018. Following his legal clerkship, which included working in a German law firm in the areas of antitrust, commercial and corporate law, he passed the second state examination at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart in 2020 as one of the best graduates in the state. He received his Ph.D. in law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Konstanz in 2022. In 2023, the committee of the State Office for Legal Examinations of Baden-Württemberg appointed Laurin as an examiner for the First State Examination.
Laurin is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and the German Bar Association (DAV).
