Asa Johansson is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s London office. She joined the firm in 2023. Her practice focuses on international arbitration, in particular international commercial arbitration and investment disputes. 

Asa has acted in arbitration proceedings under the auspices of major arbitral institutions including the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, and SCC, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations and arbitrations brought under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Her experience spans disputes across a broad range of sectors, including banking and finance, construction and infrastructure, energy, media and technology.

Asa received her Master of Laws Degree with Distinction from Georgetown University Law Center and she holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Uppsala. During law school Asa received various prizes and awards, including best brief and overall runner-up in the Nordic Moot Court Competition argued before the five Nordic Justices of the European Court of Human Rights.

Prior to joining the firm, Asa served as the private law clerk to the Honorable Charles N. Brower, a prominent international judge and arbitrator, and practiced in a leading Stockholm based law firm where she represented clients in complex commercial disputes.

Asa is fluent in English and Swedish. She is also proficient in Danish and Norwegian and speaks basic Spanish.
