Jaime Lopez is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Washington, D.C. office. He joined the firm in 2023. His practice focuses on international arbitration and cross-border litigation, primarily in Latin America.
Jaime graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was the Senior Articles Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law. As a law student he spent a year as a legal assistant at the U.S. Department of Defense’s Military Commissions Defense Organization, working on domestic applications of international law issues. He also worked as a legal assistant at the Western Hemisphere Affairs division of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Legal Adviser. Prior to law school, he was a recipient of the State Department-sponsored Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) for Russian language study. Jaime’s research experience also includes international human rights.
