Daniel Loud is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s New York office. He joined the firm in 2021. His practice focuses on Plaintiff- and Defense-side antitrust matters and complex commercial litigation.
As part of his antitrust practice, Daniel was the lead associate in a nationwide class action, which resulted in an eight-figure settlement on behalf of thousands of aerospace engineers whose wages were suppressed by an unlawful no-poach agreement among their employers. Daniel also has extensive experience managing offensive discovery in Defense-side antitrust matters; building his clients’ affirmative themes for both class certification and trial.
Daniel maintains an active pro bono practice relating to environmental matters. On behalf of a local labor union, Daniel led a trial team before the Ohio Power Siting Board in the Oak Run Solar Farm. After a three-day evidentiary hearing, and based in large part on the direct and cross-examination testimony elicited by Daniel, the Board approved the construction of one of the largest solar farms in the United States, and the largest solar battery storage facility approved at that time.
