Melissa Lovato is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, cross-border litigation, and intellectual property litigation. Prior to that, Melissa worked as a law clerk in Quinn Emanuel’s Washington, D.C. office, where she assisted with matters involving financial disputes and SEC investigations. In total, she has assisted with 8 trials and over 40 federal appeals.
As part of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s Federal Appellate Clinic, Melissa appeared on the brief of a pro bono client and helped achieve a successful result for that client’s immigration appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She also appeared on an amicus curiae brief before the Illinois Supreme Court.
Melissa has served on charitable and startup boards in the medical field.
