Sydney Leigh Martin is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Los Angeles office. She joined the firm in 2024 after a two-year clerkship with the Hon. Cathy Ann Bencivengo in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. While clerking, she was appointed to serve on the Ninth Circuit Workplace Environment Committee’s Law Clerk Subcommittee, where she addressed the needs of law clerks across the circuit.
While in law school at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, Sydney externed at the California Supreme Court and spent a semester in Washington, D.C. working on federal issues related to children’s rights. Sydney co-founded Law Students for Educational Equity at UCI Law, and served as a board member for the Student Bar Association, First Generation Professionals, and Black Law Students Association.
