Kathleen Messinger

Kathleen Messinger is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Los Angeles office.  Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Kathleen was an associate at an Am Law 50 law firm in Los Angeles where she represented plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal court on a variety of matters including complex contract disputes, consumer class actions, arbitrations, intellectual property, antitrust, internal investigations, securities, and constitutional issues.  She previously served as a law clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the United States District for the Central District of California.

Kathleen graduated from Northwestern University School of Law, where she was Managing Articles Editor on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and served as a judicial extern to Judge Dora L. Irizarry of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  During her third year of law school, Kathleen was a student attorney for the MacArthur Justice Center in the Civil Rights Litigation Clinic appellate group where she drafted a number of Eighth Amendment appellate briefs, including a granted Eighth Circuit en banc petition.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a member of the California Women’s Soccer Team.
