Luiz Miranda is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on complex intellectual property disputes. As a registered patent attorney with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Luiz assists clients with complex patent disputes in district courts, the US International Trade Commission (ITC), and the US Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Prior to joining the firm, Luiz worked as a non-term law clerk for the Honorable Darrin P. Gayles, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to his legal career, Luiz worked for thirteen years as a software developer and design engineer for a top Fortune 10 software company. There, he gained experience developing technologies related to big data and parallel computing, databases, cloud services, security, and mobile devices. Luiz utilizes his industry experience to help clients prevail in their cases by bringing fresh perspectives and insights during all stages of litigation.
