Kai Mütze is a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt). He joined Quinn Emanuel’s Munich office as an associate in 2025. His practice focuses on patent litigation. Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Kai worked as a criminal court judge, an official at the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice and a public prosecutor.
In 2017, Kai graduated from the University of Augsburg, where he specialized in intellectual property law, and obtained an LL.M. in United States Law with Specialization in Intellectual Property Law from Santa Clara University. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich in 2019, having worked in trademark litigation at a global law firm.
