Sandy Shen is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Washington, D.C. office. She joined the firm in 2021. Sandy specializes in intellectual property litigation disputes, with a focus on patent law in life sciences and technology. She draws on her background in physics and mechanical engineering to handle matters on a broad spectrum of technical fields, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotives, and software. Sandy has represented clients in litigation before federal district courts and the International Trade Commission. Additionally, she has experience with intellectual property due diligence, pre-suit investigations, discovery, and motion practice.
Prior to receiving her J.D. from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Honors Scholar, she graduated cum laude with a dual bachelor's degree in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from N.Y.U. College of Arts and Sciences and N.Y.U. Tandon School of Engineering.
