Mario Urbiks is a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt) and Associate in Quinn Emanuel's Stuttgart office. He joined the firm in 2021. Mario's practice focuses on national and international commercial and IP litigation, with a particular emphasis on patent and copyright litigation.

Mario handles complex litigation matters for clients in various industries and fields, including automotive, telecommunications and medical engineering. He has represented national and international clients before the German courts at trial and appellate level.

Mario has extensive expertise in advising on a wide range of aspects of complex (civil) disputes. In addition to patent disputes in a wide range of technologies, his experience includes advising on international taking of evidence, enforcement issues (both domestic and international) and legal issues related to artificial intelligence.

Mario graduated from the University of Konstanz in 2018. Following his legal clerkship, which included stations at Quinn Emanuel and a German law firm in the area of dispute resolution and arbitration, he passed the second state examination at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart in 2020. In 2023, the competent committee of the State Office for Legal Examinations of Baden-Württemberg appointed Mario as an examiner in the state examination for the First State Examination.

Mario is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and the German Bar Association (DAV).
