Ayla Walter is a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwältin) working in Quinn Emanuel’s Hamburg office. Her practice focuses on securities, capital markets and commercial litigation. She also advises on regulatory matters and handles respective administrative proceedings and litigation.
Ayla’s experience covers advising clients on the plaintiff and defence side in high stakes litigation, including the automotive sector. She is also experienced in Post-M&A disputes. Her commercial practice encompasses advising corporations in Business-to-Consumer disputes. Ayla has litigated in first instance proceedings, on appellate court level and also before the General Court of the European Union.
Ayla is experienced in the cross-examination of witnesses and has represented her clients in 40+ evidentiary hearings.
Ayla studied law at Eberhard-Karls-University Tübingen (Germany), where she specialized in corporate and securities law. In 2019, Ayla obtained a Master’s Degree in International Financial Law at King’s College London, U.K. Ayla completed her legal clerkship at the Hanseatisches Oberlandesgericht (Hamburg Appellate Court) in 2022, which included stages at the European Central Bank and the European Investment Bank.
Prior to joining the firm, Ayla has worked with different first tier law firms in Germany.
