Mark Weiand is a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt) and Associate working in Quinn Emanuel’s Mannheim Office. He joined the firm in 2021. His practice focuses on national and cross-border commercial and intellectual property litigation, with a particular focus on patent disputes.

Mark represents clients before the Unified Patent Court and before German district and appeal courts. He advises and represents clients in patent disputes concerning a broad range of technologies, including medical engineering, automotive, telecommunications, chemistry, software applications and semiconductor technology.

Mark has extensive experience in advising on a wide range of aspects of complex disputes. In addition to patent disputes, he advises, inter alia, on enforcement, insolvency and arbitration issues.

Mark graduated from the University of Freiburg in 2018 and subsequently completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe with stations at Quinn Emanuel and a renowned German law firm specializing in litigation before the German Federal Court of Justice.

Mark is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
